Yachts With Helicopter Landing Facilities

Is your yacht able to land a helicopter or do you want to receive by helicopter hoist?

Commander Goote offers his services ensuring safety of helicopter operations in combination with the following position:

  • Chief mate for yachts up to 3000gt

Service based on commercial Dutch qualification chief mate 3000gt /OOW all ships and qualification as ship's helicopter pilot.

Helicopter Experience

Commander Goote is an experienced Lynx helicopter pilot flying in SAR-role as well as on board frigates. These roles involved hoisting, hunting submarines by dipping sonar and providing shipping information and transport. His duties have involved flying in artic as well as tropic conditions. Additional duties on board included acting as watch officer sailing the ship and receiving helicopters. He knows that a safe landing is a team effort, and not only a pilot's affair.

Commander Goote’s experienced ship's and pilot’s point of view allows you to minimize risks during hoisting and landing operations under warm conditions and in confined locations such as harbours and bays. Equipping yourself with an increased level of understanding decreases the probability of a helicopter accident on your yacht.

Commander Goote has been in charge of operations at the training and search and rescue squadron, and commanding officer of the Dutch squadron for ship's helicopters. He was responsible for auditing naval ship's aviation; bridge and flight deck personnel. He has achieved more than 3000 deck landings.
