• Captain for yachts up to 200gt
• Chief mate for yachts up to 3000gt

Services based on commercial Dutch qualification chief mate 3000gt /OOW all ships and qualification as commercial RYA yachtmaster offshore.

Sailing Experience

Peter's first encounter with the sea was as a midshipman on board the 21 mtr sail training ship Urania serving as a deckhand. He has been trained to be a watch officer from an early age. His first trip was on the Dutch Navy's flagship on a world trip reaching as far as the Western coast of Australia. Perfect for celestial sights on both hemispheres.

To become acquainted with small ships and crew he did a tour as a second officer on a minesweeper sailing the North Sea and inshore waters of Holland. During his employment as a ship's helicopter pilot he continued acting as watch officer and reached the standard being in full charge day and night under all circumstances.

Peter sailed again on a world trip this time as far as Japan. Furthermore he sailed the Atlantic up to the North Cape and the US. He was trained as a warfare officer and specialised in submarine warfare. He became second-in-command (first officer) on a 4300gt frigate, also responsible for appearance, protocols, sports and entertainment, safety and drills. In his spare time he served as watch officer at the 36mtr sail training ship Eendracht on two of her trips from Holland to Portugal and several trips on the North sea. Separate from his on board service, he has been a HR-manager.
